Bukovinian sights

There are over twenty nature reserves in the area, such as the Ancient Woods (Codrii Seculari) in Slatioara and the deep forests on Mount Giumalau.

Apart from those, Bukovina still presents us with its rich history, unique monuments, ancient customs and traditions, as well as with its very own arts and crafts.

Bukovina is known all over the world for its monasteries, which were built during the Middle Ages by a number of rulers and noblemen. Each monastery’s church has its own dominant color: blue (Voronet), reddish brown (Humor), yellow (Moldovita) and green (Sucevita and Arbore).
